Daily Collages, Book 2
June 5 — July 16, 2026

I started making a collage every day to remind myself of myself. These circles are 4” paper life preservers that help me float back into the center of me, where I am not mom or teacher or wife or daughter, but only me.

When I’m making my daily collage, I think about the world around me—how people live and what they have gone through; how we are today and how we have been. I think about the suffering, joy, boredom, elation, confusion, friendship, love, hatred, brokenness, prejudice, and wonder of being alive. Our daily experience is stuffed to bursting with the beauty of nature, the destruction of climate change, the triumph of human achievement, the solitude of meditation, the frustration of never-ending chores, the ache of trying to make art that feels the way it does in your imagination. Exploring the incredible variety of experiences, both physical and emotional, that we get to have as humans keeps me making these little wheels every day.
