Our Life and Times/Westward Ho plays with the authority of systemized information, like that found in the library. Each section marker sticking out from the index cards is part of a small accordion bound book of catalogue cards. The phrases used at the bottom of library catalogue cards to classify books by subject matter are whited out and changed to make commentary on topics such as colonialism, self-help culture, and our political leadership. A book on Andrew Jackson? File it under "Land-Based Buccaneering".
